Worship Ministry

The Vision for Corporate Worship

Our vision is to see a community of people connected to Christ and each other in a growing expression of authentic worship.

Unity in Services

We have services at 9:30am and 11:00am in the Worship Center.  All services are identical in content and in format. If you were to visit over a three-week period, each service would be different and unique from the previous.  You might see the pastor using props to communicate a Scripture passage, or a dancer interpreting a God-song, or a horn section accompanying the praise band, or a video clip supporting a Scriptural theme.

Yet, each worship service has common yet authentic elements: celebratory and reflective God-songs, the preaching of the Word, weekly observance of communion/The Lord’s Supper, a time of giving tithes/offerings, and a time of decision at the end of each service.

Style and Song Selection

We place little value on worship style and high value on authentic expressions of worship.  Come visit for a while and make your own observations.  We would love to hear from you.

Regarding song selection, we choose songs that are Spirit-led and biblically-based.  Many of our songs can be heard from the following sources:

  • Passion (Chris Tomlin, Kristian Stanfill, Christy Nockels, Crowder, etc.)
  • North Point Music
  • Hillsong
  • Bethel Music
  • Jesus Culture
  • Rend Collective
  • Gateway Worship
  • United Pursuit
  • Big Daddy Weave
  • Brenton Brown
  • Matt Maher
  • Zach Williams
  • Praisecharts.com
  • Worshiptogether.com
  • Hymns

Ways to Serve

Several times a year, we invite people to join the worship ministry to serve in various areas:

  • Technical positions:
    • Camera tech – controls our main video camera for IMAG and recording purposes.
    • Computer tech – runs our video presentation software called ProPresenter.
    • Audio tech – oversees the front-of-house mix as well as stage mix.
    • Lighting tech – controls lighting changes during services.
  • Vocalists:
    • Choir - no audition needed; serves 6 to 9 times a year.
    • Small team - audition required; provides vocal support for worship pastor.
  • Instrumentalists:
    • Auditions are required for all musicians.
    • Most weeks we use drums, bass guitar, keys, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, soprano sax and percussion (tambourine, shakers, djembe, congas, etc.).
    • Brass, woodwinds and strings are used 4 – 6 times a year.

Worship Interest Form

If you desire to serve in the worship ministry or simply want more information about a specific team/position, please fill out the Worship Interest Form below.  By the way, while most of our vocalists and musicians have some experience, no experience is required for the tech ministries.  Hands-on training is provided so that you are prepared and equipped to serve.
