YOU & Grace

The Greek word for “grace” is “charis” – which means unmerited favor or benefit.

GRACE = God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense

Two ways to respond to God’s grace:

 Luke 17:11-19

2. When you collide with God’s grace, it can lead to selfishness .

  • Luke 17:17-18
  • The nine only cared about the healing. They didn’t care about the Healer.
  • The fact that God has done something good in your life is not a guarantee that you belong to Him.

When you collide with God’s grace, it should lead to gratitude.

  •  Luke 17:16
  • Gratitude is having an attitude of thankfulness.

Three things grateful people do in response to grace:

1. Recognize God’s gifts.

  • Luke 17:15
  • We need to be like the one who came back to thank Jesus.

2Rejoice in God’s presence.

  • Luke 17:15
  • Psalm 63:1-4
  • Psalm 66:1-4
  • Psalm 66:8
  • Psalm 68:32-35

3. Receive God’s salvation.

  • Luke 17:19
  • The Greek word for “well” is “sozo” which means saved.
